ATTACK
virtual reality experience
Collaborated with a team of students to make an immersive VR experience intended to educate the player about the effects of panic attacks. Implemented interactive typography along with visual and audio effects in order to represent panic attack symptoms. Utilized Adobe Illustrator, Maya, and Unity. Challenged ourselves with learning new programs as well as C# language in order to create ATTACK. Definitely not my forte but well worth the collaborative and learning efferts.
the process pt. 1
Created simple Illustrator sketches of path designs that could portray some of the panic attack symptoms. Went through several different design phases.
the process pt. 2
Transformed sketches into usable type through Illustrator and Maya. Used C# language to code final designs into interactive elements of the VR experience within Unity.
the process pt. 3
Presented final project at University of Illinois Chicago’s CAVE2, displaying ATTACK as a virtual reality experience that players can walk through using a player control wand and 3D glasses.
